We care about your privacy. This policy explains which personal data Villa Storfors processes when you visit our website or contact us, why we do so, and what rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What we collect and why
When you send an enquiry through the form on our website, we store the details you enter: name, email address, phone number (optional), preferred accommodation, arrival and departure dates, number of guests, your message and the language you used. The enquiry is saved in the website's database and sent to us by email.
We use these details only to answer your question, make you an offer and – if you book – manage your stay.
If you contact us directly by email or phone, we treat the details you give us in the same way.
Legal basis
- Enquiries about and bookings of accommodation: steps prior to entering into a contract and performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- General questions: our legitimate interest in being able to reply to you (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Accounting records for completed bookings: legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).
How long we keep your data
- Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted no later than 12 months after our last contact.
- Booking details are kept for the duration of your stay and afterwards for as long as Swedish accounting law requires (seven years for accounting records).
Who has access to your data
We never sell your data and do not share it for marketing purposes. The website and its database are run by our hosting provider Combell NV in Belgium (within the EU), which processes the data on our behalf under a data processing agreement.
If you book through Booking.com or Airbnb, that platform's privacy policy also applies.
Cookies and external content
This website uses no analytics or marketing cookies and no tracking tools. Our fonts are hosted on our own server.
- pll_language: a functional cookie that remembers the language you chose. It is stored for one year and contains only a language code (e.g. "en").
- WordPress login cookies are used only by us, the site administrators.
- Videos (YouTube, via youtube-nocookie.com) and the map (Google Maps) load only after you click on them. At that point your IP address, among other things, is sent to Google Ireland Ltd and Google's privacy policy applies.
- The links to Facebook and Instagram are ordinary links; no information is sent to those services until you click them.
Server logs
Our hosting provider records technical details of each visit, such as IP address, time and the page requested, to keep the website secure and working. These logs are kept for a limited period and are not used to identify visitors.
Your rights
You have the right to request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, to request restriction of processing, to object to processing based on legitimate interest, and to receive your data in a machine-readable format (data portability). Contact us at info@villastorfors.com; we will reply within one month.
If you believe we are handling your data incorrectly, you can lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY), Box 8114, 104 20 Stockholm, Sweden, www.imy.se, or with the data protection authority in your country of residence.
Changes
We may update this policy, for example when we add a booking system. The latest version is always available on this page.
